Jamie Lincoln, Accounts Receivable
Hometown: Council Bluffs, Iowa
How I got into the business: I was working in Human Resources at another company when my friend’s mom called me about a job she thought I would be good for. It just so happens it was Kirsch Transportation. I called and I remember the comment that they had just spoke about this position less the 10 minutes ago. Almost 6 years later best phone call I have ever made.
The toughest part of the job: Keeping track of all the different things each customer requires.
The best advice I have received: Be your own advocate. What that means to me is if you want something you have to stand up for yourself because you are your best supporter.
Something else I’d like to accomplish: I would love to do a triathlon! I just finished a rowing marathon
Something about me not everyone knows: I have 14 tattoos and counting
The best part of the job: Building relationships with our customers
A mentor who has helped the most in my career: Kelli Gleckler. She has taught me that you don’t have to be mean/nasty to get things you want. Kindness goes a long way in building relationships
Outside interest/hobby: Going to see live music, I try and go to one show a month
Favorite Vacation Spot: Las Vegas
Favorite Food/Restaurant: I love trying new restaurants, but you can’t go wrong with a taco!
Other careers that I’d like to try: Being a Chef. I love cooking and probably have most cooking gadgets you can think of
Favorite holiday: I am a Halloween fanatic!
Favorite song/band: I love all rock, but my top three right now would have to be Papa Roach, Bad Wolves and Five Finger Death Punch
Favorite app or podcast: Pinterest
Fun fact about you: Since I have started at Kirsch, I have lost 65 pounds. This company promotes a healthy lifestyle. From offering a gym to partnering with a healthy food company for us to order lunches from. This is something that I would not have done if it was not offered.
